3 ½ rooms apartment

We’re looking for someone to take over our lease or sublet our apartment in Kirchenfeld, Bern. We’ve spent the past three years here and are sad to be leaving, but work is taking us to Austria.
A few details about the apartment:

• 3.5-room apartment in a period building: living room, bedroom, guest room, kitchen and bathroom
• Rent: CHF 1,800 per month, including charges
• 7 minutes to Bern railway station by tram, or a 20-minute walk
• 2-minute walk to the Luisenstrasse tram stop, served by lines 7 and 8
• 5 minutes to the Ostring motorway entrance
• Grocery shopping nearby: Migros at Luisenstrasse, with Coop on Marktgasse, Coop Sulgenau and Coop Eigerplatz also within easy reach. Aldi by the Monbijou Bridge is around 5 minutes away by bus or a 10-minute walk
• Pets allowed
• Facilities: bathtub, oven, private cellar storage and shared laundry room
• Quiet neighbourhood right next to Dählhölzli woods
• Fibre-optic internet connection
• A wonderful landlord

The apartment can be taken over partly furnished if you’re interested, but this is entirely optional and can be discussed.
Our landlord is incredibly kind, approachable and always happy to talk things through. He’s easy to deal with, reliable and responsive whenever there’s a problem.
The flat directly below us is shared by students who are friendly and quiet—we hear very little from them. On the floor below them lives a small family with twins. The parents are classical musicians, and the whole family is warm and welcoming, which makes for a lovely atmosphere in the building.
Our landlord lives on the ground floor with his dog. He spends a lot of time out or at the office, so we don’t actually see him very often. Next door is a therapy centre for young people, and there are a few offices nearby, but the neighbourhood is mostly home to young families and people sharing flats.
We’re fairly flexible and would love to pass the apartment on to the right people. It would suit a couple, someone living on their own, or people looking to share.
