Do you want to live in the middle of the Winterthur Altstadt and still have plenty of space? Are you looking for an uncomplicated and sociable shared apartment (WG) where people enjoy spending time together? Then our vacant room could be just the right thing for you!

Your room

Your future room comprises around 24 m² and offers an exceptionally spacious feeling with a ceiling height of approx. 3.4 meters. Particularly impressive are the historical stucco ceiling with its elaborate floral decorations and the heritage-protected wooden floor. Both lend the room a very special charm.
Through the two large windows, you look directly at the Museum Oskar Reinhart on Stadthausstrasse as well as at the Stadtgarten and thus also into the greenery.

The room is rented unfurnished and, thanks to its size, offers plenty of space for individual furnishing. Directly next to your room is a bathroom with a shower.

The room is available from January 2027 or by arrangement.

The apartment

Our charming old building apartment is located in the middle of the Winterthur Altstadt, is partially under monument protection, and extends over a generous living area of around 380 m².

A special highlight is our approx. 50 m² large terrace. It is equipped with cozy lounges and a fireplace (Cheminée) and invites you to linger all year round. Whether for relaxing, for shared dinners, or cozy evenings with friends, we enjoy spending our time here.

The apartment has a total of three bathrooms, a spacious living and dining area, as well as a particularly large laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. The appliances are available to you at any time, completely without a laundry schedule.
Additionally, there is a spacious attic that offers further storage space if needed.

Of course, you can freely use all the communal rooms of the apartment.

Location

Our apartment is located directly on Stadthausstrasse in the heart of the Winterthur Altstadt. The Marktgasse with its numerous shopping facilities, restaurants, and bars is only a few minutes' walk away. The Stadtgarten is also located directly in the neighborhood.
You can reach Winterthur station on foot in about five minutes. A bus stop is located directly in front of the front door, so you are also excellently connected by public transport. The various locations of the ZHAW are also easily reachable on foot.
Despite the central location, the immediate proximity to the Stadtgarten offers a beautiful view into the greenery.

All utilities included

With us, all utilities are already included in the monthly rental price. In addition to electricity, water, and heating, we also cover the costs for high-speed internet with 20 Gbit/s, insurance, Serafe fees, garbage bags, detergent, and other shared household items.

So you don't have to worry about additional utility costs.

About us

We are a collegial and uncomplicated WG, consisting of three men between the ages of 22 and 34, and are looking for a fourth person for our shared community.

We are employed and partly studying on the side. We greatly appreciate social exchange and shared evenings. We particularly enjoy using our large terrace to sit together, have a drink, or simply enjoy the end of the working day.

Since we have no direct neighbors, it is also okay for things to get a bit later sometimes. We are also not a non-smoker household, so you should not have a problem with that. At the same time, everyone has their own daily routine and can, of course, withdraw at any time.
It is important to us that we all feel comfortable and that living together remains uncomplicated.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an open, uncomplicated, and approachable person who not only wants to feel comfortable with us but also wants to contribute to the WG life.

We are not a Zweck-WG (a shared flat for purely functional purposes) and look forward to someone who
