Ensemble Basel brings together young adults with support needs and students as well as other young people in training in an inclusive shared apartment.

At Klingentalstrasse 59/61 in Basel, people with and without support needs live together under one roof and shape their everyday lives together. The roommates without support needs accompany and support their shared apartment members in everyday life if needed and, in return, benefit from an attractive rental price.

The rooms

We rent furnished shared apartment rooms in different sizes. The gross rent is between CHF 665.- and CHF 1'143.- per month depending on the room.

All rooms are furnished before move-in by our architecture office with a carefully selected basic equipment of high-quality secondhand furniture. Additionally, a free selection of further high-quality secondhand furniture is available to all residents so that the room can be individually supplemented or adapted.

The house

Each floor has its own kitchen as well as its own sanitary facilities. Furthermore, the house offers numerous communally used areas:

• large communal kitchen on the ground floor
• shared dining area
• cozy lounge area
• laundry room in the basement
• courtyard with atelier

In this way, a lively place is created where community, exchange, and mutual support are at the center.

Who we are looking for

You are open, reliable, and enjoy living with different people. As part of the housing project, you contribute to everyday life in the shared apartment and support your roommates if needed. No special prior knowledge is required for this.
