Room in a shared flat

I am subletting my room from now until approx. mid/end December 26. The room is partially furnished with a wardrobe, desk, and mattress, so you can essentially move in directly. If you would like to bring your own furniture, that can also be organized. The room has a view of the Bachtel, and with an open window, you can fall asleep to relaxing stream sounds.

We have a large, cozy living and dining area, a bathroom, a separate toilet, and a beautiful balcony. Directly in front of the front door, there is also a small vegetable garden. A washing machine and dryer are located in the basement of the residential block; there is also a bicycle cellar. The apartment is located in a quiet but central 30 km/h zone. Shopping facilities as well as the Jona train station are reachable on foot in a few minutes. You can reach the center of Rapperswil, the lake, or the OST by bicycle in 5–10 minutes.

During the sublet, you would live together with the three best roommates: Johanna (30) studies landscape architecture at the OST, is an artist, and is often editing videos for her work. Thanks to her, we have many and also healthy plants, whether in the shared flat, on the balcony, or in the garden. Raffi (32) is an engineer, singing teacher, and enjoys playing the piano. He is almost always up for a round of darts or a series night. Melanie (26) works on an organic farm and is often to be found in the mountains (climbing), in the bouldering hall, or on the slackline. With her, even annoying shared flat chores like glass recycling are incredibly fun.

We are a mixed shared flat of professionals and students. Everyone has their own life and their own daily routine, yet we are definitely not a Zweck-WG (flatshare for convenience only) and greatly appreciate an open, uncomplicated, appreciative, and communal way of living together. We meet regularly for cooking, dinner, or on the balcony, and also like to do things together as a shared flat. We are looking for a non-smoking person who ideally already has shared flat experience and for whom a healthy degree of cleanliness and adhering to a chore schedule is also important.

The room is available from now until approx. mid/end December. There may be the possibility that the room can be taken over after that. Viewings are possible between September 14 and 17 in the evenings or by arrangement.
