2 rooms apartment

As I will be abroad for several months, I am subletting my bright and lovingly furnished 2-room apartment in the Matthäus neighbourhood of Basel.
The apartment is fully furnished and located on the fifth and top floor of a building with a lift. It is particularly suitable for a working professional, consultant, expat or visiting researcher staying temporarily in Basel.

PLANTS
The plants contribute to the special and welcoming atmosphere of the apartment. Tenants who enjoy plants are very welcome. Anyone who would like to help with some simple plant care may do so by mutual agreement, but this is not a requirement for renting the apartment.

If necessary, plant care can be organised through a trusted person. Any visit or access to the apartment would take place only with the prior agreement of the tenant.

LOCATION
The apartment is centrally located in the lively Matthäus neighbourhood, 4057 Basel. Shops, restaurants, public transport and the Rhine are nearby. Novartis, Messe Basel, the University of Basel and other major workplaces are easily accessible.

RENTAL CONDITIONS
Rent: CHF 1650 per month, including utilities, furniture, Wi-Fi and electricity
Move-in: 1 November 2026
Preferred rental period: until 30 June 2027
Shorter rental period: until 31 March 2027 by arrangement
Security deposit: one month of rent, CHF 1650

The agreed end date will be clearly specified in the written sublease agreement.

Applicants are required to provide:

• Proof of employment or income
• Personal liability insurance valid in Switzerland

A written sublease agreement, detailed inventory and handover report will be provided.

Die vollständig möblierte Wohnung befindet sich im 5. und obersten Stock eines Hauses mit Lift. Sie eignet sich besonders für eine berufstätige Person, einen Consultant, Expat oder Gastwissenschaftler, der vorübergehend in Basel lebt.

Wer Freude daran hat, darf nach Absprache gerne einen Teil der einfachen Pflanzenpflege übernehmen. Dies ist jedoch keine Voraussetzung für die Anmietung.

Bei Bedarf kann die Pflanzenpflege durch eine vertraute Person organisiert werden. Termine und ein möglicher Zutritt zur Wohnung erfolgen ausschliesslich nach vorheriger Absprache mit der mietenden Person.

LAGE
Die Wohnung liegt zentral im lebendigen Matthäusquartier in 4057 Basel. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und der Rhein befinden sich in der Nähe. Novartis, Messe Basel, die Universität Basel und weitere wichtige Arbeitsorte sind gut erreichbar.

MIETBEDINGUNGEN
Miete: CHF 1650 pro Monat, inklusive Nebenkosten, Möblierung, Internet und Strom
Einzug: 1. November 2026
Bevorzugte Mietdauer: bis 30. Juni 2027
Kürzere Mietdauer: bis 31. März 2027 nach Absprache möglich
Kaution: eine Monatsmiete, CHF 1650

Das vereinbarte Enddatum wird im schriftlichen Untermietvertrag eindeutig festgehalten.
