**Room Available in Zumikon (ZH) – Friendly 2-Person WG Looking for a New Flatmate** Hey everyone! 👋 We are a well-established 2-person flatshare looking for a new flatmate starting after agreement, either for **6 months or long-term**. We're ideally looking for someone **between 25 and 33 years old**. Our flat is located in **peaceful Zumikon (ZH)**, just **17 minutes by public transport from Zurich Stadelhofen**. It's a quiet, green area that's perfect for relaxing after work while still being close to the city. The apartment is a bright **4.5-room ground-floor flat**. The available room (**Room C**) is approximately **10.4 m²**, gets plenty of sunlight throughout the day, and overlooks the garden. It comfortably fits a **160 × 200 cm bed**, a wardrobe, and a desk. A bed frame, wardrobe, and desk can be rented together with the room if needed. The flat includes: * Large fridge * Oven & ceramic stove * Dishwasher * Shared storage space in the basement and attic * Washing machine in the basement (shared with the building) **About us** **Timo (30M)** – Swiss-American, born in Zurich. I work as a **mental health nurse**. I'm very social and enjoy cooking together, watching movies, listening to music, gaming, having a drink, or going to techno events. I also organize social events in Zurich and manage DJs (I used to DJ and now I produce music myself). **Hugo (29M)** – Swiss-Portuguese, born in Portugal. He recently completed his commercial apprenticeship and is currently looking for a job. He's a passionate gamer and easy to get along with. We are **not** looking for someone who simply wants a place to sleep. We value a friendly and social atmosphere with open communication. We enjoy BBQs, game nights, spontaneous dinners, and spending time together. If you prefer to stay in your room most of the time and aren't interested in shared living, this probably isn't the right WG for you. **What we're looking for** At the moment, we would **prefer a female flatmate**, as we've unfortunately had repeated negative experiences with previous male tenants. That said, the most important thing for us is finding the right person who fits well into the household. We also ask that you provide a **reference from your previous landlord or flatshare**. **Cleanliness is very important to us.** If you enjoy cooking late at night and only cleaning the kitchen a few days later, our WG probably won't be a good match. We expect shared spaces, especially the kitchen, to be cleaned immediately after use so everyone can enjoy them. This apartment will get demolished end of 2027. **Rent** * **CHF ca. 865/month** * **Electricity (EKZ)** is billed separately every three months.
