**Sunny Room in Rieden AG** Hey! I'm looking for a new flatmate to share my bright and cozy 3.5-room apartment in Rieden AG from **1 September 2026** (or by agreement) **for one semester**. **The Room & Apartment** The available room is 12 m², bright, and unfurnished, giving you the freedom to make it your own. A wardrobe can be taken over free of charge if desired. The apartment offers: * Spacious and sunny living room with a shared balcony * Fully equipped kitchen _(see renovation note below)_ * Bathroom with bathtub _(see renovation note below)_ * Separate storage room (Reduit) plus built-in wardrobes in the hallway * Laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and drying room * Private cellar compartment * Bicycle storage * Parking space may be available through the property management **Location** The apartment is conveniently located while still being close to nature. In walking distance: * 3 min: Bus stop * 5 min: Limmat for swimming in summer or running alongside * 10 min: Coop, Migros, Denner & Others **Renovation Information (please be aware when applying)** The building will undergo upgrade renovations from mid-August until the end of October 2026, including complete renovation of the apartment's kitchen and bathroom from 30.09 to 31.10. The sanitary rooms will not be useable during this period. During this period, residents will have access to a shared temporary kitchen on the ground floor and bathroom containers in front of the building. A proportional rent reduction by the landlord is expected for the duration of the renovations, however the amount has is not been confirmed yet. Unfortunately I do not have more information at this point in time. **Rent & Conditions** * Gross rent: CHF 715/month * Electricity, Serafe and Wi-Fi are charged separately (approximately CHF 45/month) * Rental deposit: 2 months' rent * Rental period: One semester (~ 6 months or upon agreement). **About Me** I'm 33 years old and currently a PhD student at ETH Zurich at the Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics. In my free time, I do a lot of Circus/Aerial sports (Silks, Hoop, or Rope), I also like Rope Climbing, and used to do horse riding but my faithful companion is now enjoying a happy life with his friends on the field, which is better suited to his needs. I enjoy outdoor activities, hikes, swimming in rivers, nature and beautiful mountains. I speak English, French and some German. **Who I'm Looking For** I'm looking for someone who is: * tidy with particular consideration of common places * trustworthy, respectful and reliable * open-minded * Introvert or extravert, anyone welcome! * non-smoker * working in an academic environment (e.g. PhD, Postdoc etc) is a plus (but not a hard requirement if you are understanding of academic lifestyle :) * enjoy living with/taking care of plants (I do the watering myself but I’d expect you to take over the care work in my absences :) - The balcony needs new flowers and you are welcome to take over on that end if you enjoy gardening!
